|On behalf of the Ummah Finance team, I would like to extend my wishes to you and your family a happy and blessed Ramadan. For the next month, many Muslims all around the globe will be fasting from Dawn to Sunset, though abstaining from food and drink, Muslims will fulfil themselves spiritually and find their renewal of purpose.
Ramadan is a month of devotion to prayers, patience, reflection and charity. It is also a great time for interfaith work and sharing our best practices with those not of the Muslim faith. Mosques up and down the country will participate in opening their doors to the general public and share the spirit of Ramadan with neighbours and friends. Many mosques already have outreach initiatives in place, with many already setting up food banks for the homeless.
As fasting this year will be around 19+ hours long, I urge for everyone who is fasting to drink plenty of water between Iftar (time of breaking fast) and Suhoor (pre-dawn meal). It is important for us to be responsible in the way we fast and take care of our bodies.
I hope you all have a blessed and productive Ramadan, and hope you remember myself and the team in your prayers.
